Our new optometrist from the State University of New York College of Optometry (SUNY) was born and raised in Fairfield County, and is the son of Dr. Irene Rosenberg and our Practice Manager, Joe Kropf. He completed his undergraduate degree at the College of Wooster in Ohio as a psychology major with a focus on perceptual psychology, and was an active performance pianist within Wooster’s music program. Having an optometrist as a mother, Adam was exposed to optometry at a young age, and knew he wanted to help people and provide service in the same way.
During his time at SUNY, Dr. Kropf grew his clinical expertise in several fields, including pediatrics, contact lenses and ocular disease. He went on to complete a three month rotation at the Newington VA Hospital in Connecticut, where he helped veterans with a wide variety of ocular disease such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and macular degeneration. Additionally, he completed a three month rotation at Downtown Eyecare, an optometry/ophthalmology practice in Brooklyn, New York, where he managed a large and varied population of patients with comprehensive eye care, and gained experience in managing post surgeries including cataract extractions and laser surgeries. In addition, Dr. Kropf completed another rotation at Family Vision Care, a primarily pediatric practice in California where he gained additional experience in myopia control and vision therapy.
In addition to playing piano, Adam enjoys sailing and hiking.
